Each morning we serve
a delicious full breakfast which might include our own homemade
yogurt along with a hot dish, such as orange yogurt pancakes, apple
cinnamon French toast, or blueberry blintz soufflé. Our guest pantry is always
available for your use.

Relaxing and Full of Character
Posted by christinaelyse from White Plains, New York on
11/27/2006
I spent 2 relaxing evenings at the Devonfield. My
reservations were made last minute and accepted (quite
nicely despite my original 6 am phone call!) by the
innkeepers. Able to spend 2 evenings at this quiet inn was
very restful. In each room I stayed I had my own fireplace,
bathtub, and view of the 20+ acre property. Restaurant
recommendations are good (try Chez Nous) and the natural
beauty of the hills are worth the nice autumn drive.

SOO many special touches
Posted by Orlee from Rochester on 09/04/2006
We stayed here for two nights. It was our wedding
anniversary and the owners left a single red rose and small
bottle of champagne with glasses and a card. What a lovely
touch and completely surprising. The bedding is devine.
Chocolates each evening in the room, cookies and a pantry
available, bottled water. They have thought of many special
touches.

Delightful Devonfield's
Posted by Sue & Bobby from Baltimore, Md. on
04/30/2006
We spent a memorable 3 nights at Devonfield feeling pampered
and special by the new innkeepers, Ronnie and Bruce. The
facility was flawless and immaculate while the personnel
were friendly, accommodating and professional. The weekend
was a sheer delight from the plentiful and delicious
breakfasts to the beautiful rooms with gorgeous views and
cozy,warm fireplaces.
The area has lots to offer as well, from the Rockwell
Museaum to antique shopping and a variety of dining choices.
We can not wait to book our next visit and spend time during
the fall and winter seasons in the Berkshires at
Devonfield's.
Thank you Ronnie and Bruce- you made our trip a true delight

Devonfield is divine!
Posted by Dennis from New Jersey on 02/21/2006
From the moment we stepped in to this elegant English
country inn, we felt at home. The innkeepers were welcoming
and warm. Our room was spectacular- working fire place and a
view out in to the snow covered meadow and mountains beyond.
The home is filled with beautiful antiques, yet is
thoughtfully appointed with all modern amenities. Breakfast
was delicious- we began with granola, yogurt, fresh fruit,
and juice and then enjoyed delectable apple french toast.
After a long day of skiing, we returned to a roaring fire
place in the living room where we sat and chatted with
fellow guests. We only wished we could have stayed longer!
We will definitely return to this special gem and recommend
it wholeheartedly to others.

Home Away From Home
Posted by Judy from Medfield, MA on 07/25/2005
We just returned from our annual 3 day weekend to attend BSO
concerts at Tanglewood. Each year we try a different inn or
B&B in the area. This year it was Devonfield. The experience
was quite unlike any other inn that we have stayed at in the
Berkshires. I felt like I was staying in a private vacation
home and not a commercial establishment. The owners have
anticipated your every need: 24 hour access to complimentary
cookies, coffee, and tea; daily complimentary bottled water
and chocolates in the room; heated swimming pool surrounded
by flower garden and a supply of plump beach towels;
spacious and clean rooms with nice furnishings; a separate
TV room stocked with videos; and the list goes on. Although
the inn was fully booked, there are enough common spaces for
you to enjoy a spot in private if you choose.

The ONLY place to stay
Posted by Amy from Somerville, MA on 02/19/2004
I also booked Devonfield based on the comments in this
section. I am happy to report that all of the comments are
accurate and very honest. There are a multitude of inns in
the Berkshires but this is the ONLY place to stay. I spent
two nights in the John Lloyd room during President's Day
wknd and have no negative comments. I tried to be picky, but
there is nothing wrong with this beautiful place. The inn is
charming and comfortable with a perfect location in Lee
(central so driving between towns is easy). The breakfast
was very generous (cereal, fruit, yogurt, muffins, hot
entree)and the quality was as good as the quantity. The
innkeepers (Jim and Pam) are like old friends and the people
working with them are just as nice. Unlike many inns where
the innkeepers are particularly impressed with themselves,
there is no pretentiousness at Devonfield. This inn is a
true gem in an idyllic setting. I look forward to a return
visit!

Just excellent. We looked up the Fodor rants and raves and
booked this on the basis of what has been said here and it
is all true. We were the only ones staying in the lull just
after the Thanksgiving rush so had a chance to look at every
room and the only difference is the size and whether they
have a (real)fireplace. They are all delightful. The owners
are genuinely interested in their guests and any individual
needs.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast!
Posted by Lisa from New Jersey on 11/25/2003
This is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast! After spending
Thanksgiving with family in Boston we decided to stop in the
Berkshires on the way back to NY for an evening alone. The
Davonfield was exactly what we were looking for. The
innkeepers are friendly and helpful and the house is
beautifully decorated! We stayed in one of the smaller
rooms, the Allison, it was warm and cozy with a private
bath. The brandy and chocolates were a delightful treat
before bed! I would highly recommend a visit.

| The New England you're looking for is right
here
Posted by Clare from London on 10/12/2003
Although we've travelled all over New England on vacation
over the last few years, we keep on returning to Devonfield.
Why? Because staying there feels less like being a tourist
an outsider and more like visiting friends who just happen
to have a beautiful house. It's a chance to look behind the
chilly, frilly facade so many 'inns' present, and experience
the New England we're all trying to find - warm,
tasteful, and relaxing. Jim and Pam, the innkeepers, are
proper locals, rather than New Yorkers trying to create an
image. Being born and bred in this small town means there's
very little they don't know about the area, and they seem
genuinely happy to share it with their guests. The best word
for the house itself is 'gracious' - elegant, like a
well-polished, beautiful old piece of furniture. And it's
one of the few places we've stayed where you feel really
comfortable using the common areas, not just your own room.
The place seems to draw you in, encouraging sociability and
the chance to enjoy a little conversation with your fellow
travellers. You get a proper home-cooked New England
breakfast too, free from the curse of over-complication that
seems to be running riot everywhere else; fresh fruit salad,
muffins and a hot dish. I can particularly recommend the
oven-baked peach pancakes. We've stayed in plenty of places
that promise much and deliver little; so I'm happy to
recommend this one wholeheartedly, both for the charm of the
surroundings and the warmth of the welcome.
